Gilberto Cardoso is Head of Iron Ore Origination at Centalion (formerly Gunvor Group), based in Singapore. He brings more than 25 years of international experience across commodities, mining, iron ore and steel, combining expertise in market analysis, commercial strategy and international trading. His work focuses on developing partnerships with miners and project developers, connecting mineral supply with global markets through structured offtake agreements, prepayments and tailored commercial solutions.

His career includes roles at Anglo American, BHP, ArcelorMittal Mining and Accenture Strategy, with experience spanning Brazil, Europe and Asia. He has worked across sales and marketing, technical marketing, strategic market analysis and digital transformation.

He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Science and a Global Executive MBA from IESE Business School. He has also completed the Oxford Scenarios Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and holds Brazil’s CNPI investment analyst certification. He contributes as an EXSIM board member for IESE’s MBA business simulation programme and as a member of McKinsey & Company’s Executive Panel.
